It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to Mab Lane Primary School – a happy, caring and inclusive school where children are at the heart of everything we do.

At Mab Lane, our motto is “Only the Best”, and this reflects the ambition we have for every single child who walks through our doors. We want the best education, the best opportunities and the best experiences for our children, because we believe that every child deserves nothing less.

We understand that choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. We want Mab Lane to be a place where children are excited to come to school each morning; where they feel safe, happy and valued; and where families know that their child is genuinely known, cared for and supported.

We are incredibly proud of the warm, welcoming community we have created. Our dedicated staff work closely with parents and carers because we know that children thrive when school and home work together. We value open and honest communication and want every family to feel that they are an important part of the Mab Lane family.

We have high expectations for teaching, learning and behaviour and believe passionately that every child can succeed, whatever their starting point. Inclusion is at the heart of our school, and we are extremely proud to have achieved the Gold Standard Inclusion Quality Mark, recognising our commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to flourish.

However, life at Mab Lane is about much more than academic achievement.

We want our children to leave us with wonderful memories, confidence in themselves and the belief that they can achieve their dreams. We provide a wide range of opportunities and experiences that bring learning to life, raise aspirations and allow children to discover new interests and talents.

As a school community, we have created our 50 Ultimate Activities – 50 experiences that we believe every child should have the opportunity to enjoy before they leave Mab Lane. These experiences encourage our children to explore, take on challenges, have fun and create memories that will stay with them long after their primary school years are over.

Of course, the best way to discover what makes Mab Lane special is to come and see us for yourself. We warmly welcome visits from prospective families and would be delighted to show you around our school, introduce you to our wonderful children and staff, and give you a real sense of what it means to be part of Mab Lane.
