School Meals

Healthy and Nutritious Meals at Mab Lane

Our school meals are provided by Chartwells, who work in partnership with Mab Lane to provide children with fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals throughout the school week.

We believe that a healthy, balanced meal is an important part of the school day, helping children to stay energised, concentrate and be ready to learn.

Children are offered a varied menu with a range of meal choices designed to encourage them to try different foods and enjoy a positive lunchtime experience with their friends.

School Meal Prices

From 1 September 2026, the cost of a school meal is:

Reception to Year 6: £3.40 per day / £17.00 per week
Nursery: £3.05 per day

Children who are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals or benefit-related Free School Meals will receive their school meal free of charge.

Paying for School Meals

School meals can be ordered and paid for through the Arbor parent app.

If you need any help accessing your Arbor account or making a payment, please contact the school office, who will be happy to assist.

Allergies and Dietary Requirements

We work closely with Chartwells to ensure that children's food allergies, medical diets and religious dietary requirements are appropriately managed.

If your child has an allergy or specific dietary requirement, it is essential that you inform the school.

Please visit our Food Allergies and Dietary Requirements page for further information and the relevant forms.

Free School Meals

Some children may also be eligible for benefit-related Free School Meals. Even if your child already receives a free meal through Universal Infant Free School Meals, we strongly encourage eligible families to apply, as registration can also provide additional funding to support your child's education.

Please contact the school office if you would like further information or support with an application.
